Roots of Antiracism Start Young
The week after Caela attended a Damascus Road Analysis Training, she presented the children’s sermon at First United Church where she is a minister. Building on the concept of “internalized superiority,” she talked about how the church’s annual food drive helps people in need and encouraged the kids to think about how those people can also be helpers. Each of us needs help sometimes, she added. A simple message, rooted in the antiracism analysis that Caela experienced through a Roots of Justice event.
Give today to help ministers like Caela understand racism better so they can in turn share with their congregations.
As Caela reminds us, “I don’t have to do this on my own! Roots of Justice has resources and real live people who can help.” Your donation makes these resources and instructors available to more people.
